Có bảy mô hình trình ghi dữ liệu riêng biệt tương thích với hệ thống DataNet. Đây là những đơn vị được gọi là cuối của hệ thống. Những bộ ghi này hỗ trợ tối đa bốn cảm biến bên ngoài và hai cảm biến bên trong, nhiệt độ và độ ẩm, tùy thuộc vào kiểu máy cụ thể. Dữ liệu được ghi lại và lưu trữ vào bộ nhớ trong của máy ghi và được truyền qua mạng tới phần mềm DataSuite đang chạy trên PC.

Bộ ghi dữ liệu được lập trình để tiêu thụ ít năng lượng nhất có thể trong quá trình hoạt động, nhằm tiết kiệm pin. Khi không truyền hoặc ghi dữ liệu, các thiết bị sẽ ở chế độ ngủ và chúng sẽ thức dậy khi cần thiết.

Pin cho DNL910 và DNL920 có thể sạc lại được và có thể chạy đến vài tháng cho một lần sạc, tùy thuộc vào cấu hình bộ ghi.

Bộ ghi DNL910-PA và DNL920-PA bao gồm khuếch đại công suất (PA), cho phép phạm vi truyền dài hơn so với các bộ không PA và do đó tiêu thụ điện năng cao. Do đó, các thiết bị PA phải luôn được kết nối với nguồn AC nếu không pin của nó sẽ hết sau vài giờ.
